Just cross the Brabourne Road, on Portuguese Street, commonly known as Murgihata crossing you are at the gate of Portuguese church and church is visible from far even from Indian exchange place and Brabourne Road crossing. So it’s not too tough to locate the church. This church was founded in 1799. Cathedral of The Most Holy Rosary Commonly known as Portuguese church and first catholic place of worship in Calcutta/Kolkata. Compound of the church is small but there is few trees around. There is two towers in the church and Towers are beautifully designed, the towers are more like minarets with rounded beautifully shaped cupolas. It has few verandahs in front and church is presently coloured in blue and white. On Sunday visitors are allowed inside the church. There is building on back side of church
